Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information healthshoplab.com, the home of the Hallie Brooks blog, collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean {{NOME_DA_EMPRESA}}, which operates the site. “Hallie Brooks” is the pen name the blog is written under.
The short version
- There are no accounts, sign-up forms or comments on this site. We only receive personal information from you if you email us.
- We don’t sell personal information for money.
- The Meta Pixel, which measures our Facebook and Instagram posts and ads, loads only if you click Accept. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it stays off.
- You can change your choice at any time, and ask us to access or delete your information.
1. Information we collect
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you write. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
Information collected automatically
When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider automatically records technical information in server logs: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the page that linked you here, and the date and time. These logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
Your cookie choice
When you click Accept or Decline, the site saves that choice in your browser’s local storage, under the name consent-healthshoplab.com, so it doesn’t ask again on every visit. It stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.
The Meta Pixel, only if you accept
If you click Accept, the site loads the Meta Pixel, a piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. It sends Meta information about your visit, such as the pages you view, the page address, your IP address, and browser and device information, and it can set and read cookies. If you’re logged in to Facebook or Instagram in the same browser, Meta may connect the visit to your account.
We use the pixel to measure how our posts and ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited the site. We don’t send Meta your name or email address, and we never send health, financial or other sensitive information.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Until you make a choice, the site sets no cookies. After that, the following may be used:

3. How we use information
- To reply to your messages.
- To run the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- If you accept: to measure how our posts and ads perform, and to show our ads to people who have visited the site.
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. How information is shared
- Service providers that run the site and email for us, such as our hosting and email providers. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Meta, through the Meta Pixel, only if you accept. Meta uses that information under its own Privacy Policy.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our readers, us or others.
- A new owner, if the site is ever sold or transferred. This policy would continue to apply to information collected under it.
We don’t sell personal information for money. Under some U.S. state privacy laws, letting the Meta Pixel collect information for advertising can count as “selling” or “sharing” personal information, or as “targeted advertising.” That’s why the pixel stays off unless you accept, and why you can turn it off at any time.
5. Your privacy choices

Your choice applies to this browser on this device, and takes effect the next time you open a page that uses the pixel.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out: the Meta Pixel stays off, and the cookie notice doesn’t appear.
- Do Not Track. There’s no common standard for Do Not Track signals, so the site doesn’t respond to them. We honor Global Privacy Control instead.
- Meta settings. You can control the ads you see from Meta in your Meta ad preferences.
- Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data. If you clear this site’s data, the site will ask for your choice again.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we have personal information about you, and give you a copy;
- correct information that’s wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop any sale or sharing of your information, and any targeted advertising based on it.
Residents of California and a growing number of other U.S. states have these rights under state law. We extend them to every reader.
To make a request, email halliebrooks@healthshoplab.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. We’ll respond within 45 days, and if we need more time, up to another 45 days, we’ll tell you why. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We won’t treat you differently for using any of these rights.
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying with the subject “Privacy appeal.” We’ll answer within 45 days. If you’re not satisfied with the answer, you can contact your state attorney general.
7. Children
This site is meant for adults and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we’ll delete it.
8. How long we keep information
- Emails: as long as needed to reply and keep a record of the conversation, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited time, on its regular schedule.
- Your cookie choice: in your browser, until you clear this site’s data.
- Meta Pixel data: kept by Meta under its own policies.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our email and hosting accounts is limited and protected. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
10. Where information is processed
This site is written for readers in the United States. We, our providers and Meta may process information in the United States and in other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
11. Links to other websites
Posts may link to other websites, including retailers. Once you leave this site, the other site’s privacy policy applies. Retailers may set their own cookies when you click an affiliate link; see their policies for details.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
